Last November, James Gunn cast Skyler Gisondon as the DCU’s Jimmy Olsen in Superman. Douglas Smith, who played the Daily Planet photographer, will appear in the final season of Superman and Lois as well. This version of the character was previously described as an extroverted twenty-something, known for being the “life of the party” around the office. This site also adds that “despite being colleagues with Clark, Jimmy has been unable get him out from his ‘awkward shell’.” Jimmy is determined to be Clark’s friend, despite not knowing his super-secret. ”
