In the penultimate Agatha all Along episode, Agatha Harkness and Jennifer Kale arrive at the end of the Witches’ Road. Billy, who created the Road by accident with his Scarlet Witch powers, finds a new body to house Tommy Maximoff. Billy’s twin is clearly not in the best of homes. Jac Schaeffer, showrunner of Agatha All Along for Entertainment Weekly, elaborated on Tommy’s resurrection in a recent interview. She explained that the intention was that he did indeed get what he lacked in that he had successfully transferred Tommy’s spirit into that young man, who was a victim of a teenage prank. You know how things work, and you’ll be able to tell if future films follow the same narrative. ”
:”We loved that Agatha was going to step up into her mentor role, in her nasty, evil way. We also liked that she would be helping Billy harness his greatest power, which is bringing his brother back. We had to film it in a very obscure manner because Tommy wasn’t cast yet. Schaeffer replied, “I don’t know anything.” When asked if this meant Tommy was cast, Schaeffer said, “I have no idea.” I know literally nothing. When Agatha All Along was made, Tommy did not exist. “Showing Tommy’s resurrection from the dead was not an easy feat, and Schaeffer credits both director Gandja Monteeiro and cinematographer Isiah Donne Lee for finding a way of portraying that on screen. “Everyone in the room just loved that there was something kind of terrifying about it, that it was something done on Billy’s side out of love, but that Agatha was all fingernails and meanness,” she said.
It remains to be seen when and where Agatha, Billy, and Tommy’s story will continue but the WandaVision and Agatha All Along[writers’] showrunner claims to be in the dark.
“I can’t speak to the direct handoff to the Vision show,” Schaeffer calimed, “but I think that people are meant to expect more of Billy and Agatha somewhere in the MCU. I’m not sure what’s happening with the show and I wish them all the best. I am so excited to see what Paul Bettany and his team do. Disney+ is now streaming all episodes of Agatha All Along.
